Noeton in New York

Dr. Michiel Scheffer, Director of Noéton BV, is on a string of visits to the United States, more precisely the Upper West Side of New York City. I shall be engaged in a number of assignments in this period:

- For the Royal Embassy of the Netherlands: Fact Finding Mission on trends in Materials Technology Research in the USA (april-june)
- For the DIGITEX (FP6) Project: Development of an exploitation model of digital finishing.

I shall also engage in two research projects:

1. Cycles and Capital and Fashion. This project assesses the linkage between increased rotation of capital and speeding up of fashion cycles
2. Cycles of Capital and Fibres. This project (to be conducted with Arun Aneja - R&D Director at Reliance Industries Limited (Bombay) examines financial policies and innovation in fibre industries.

I shall continue to give regular comments on current affairs on this blog.
